You can join somewhere, go for a month, and drift off without a single person noticing. That is the normal outcome, and it has almost nothing to do with willpower. What keeps people training for years is being known: a coach who tracks your progress and a room that asks where you were. The skate park, the nature park off Grand Street and the school fields cover the basics, and Grand Street covers most of the rest of town. A gym near Whitewright, TX with a coached training week is the thing that is missing.
From WhitewrightNine Years,And He Is Still Here.
Chris found Solus nine years ago and never really left. He grew from member to coach right here, and even after starting his own construction business he still sub coaches and stays part of the room. Nine years, a whole career change, and he is still here.
